The House

The house is located on Conns Lane near the corner of Cape Otway Road on the site of the old Ripplevale Primary School which was closed in the 1970s. It was built in 2001 by Graham and Jill Hawkins. The house has 2 bedrooms at either end with ensuites and private balconies, an open fire place in the living room, a modern kitchen and dining room, floor to ceiling windows throughout and wireless internet. With sweeping views of the Lorne hinterland farmland, the house is a 90 minute drive from Melbourne, 5 minutes from the town of Birregurra, 30 minutes from Lorne, Angelsea and Aireys Inlet and 40 minutes from Apollo Bay. 1. I actually went to Ripplevale State School in 1958-59. I used to ride my shetland pony to school then, and there were only 18 kids in the entire school.
One row of desks made up each class! Memory Lane for me!

Great to see the site back in use with such a lovely home on it. Have fun!

    • Hi Louise,
